Heidi Schultz has been teaching private oboe lessons for 30 years throughout the United States. In addition to teaching beginner to advanced oboe, she also teaches beginner flute. Currently living near Annapolis, Maryland, she teaches Applied Oboe at Washington College and with the PVA program at Broadneck High School. Additionally, she has a private studio of oboe students out of her home in Cape St. Claire, and travels to student homes for lessons. Lastly, Heidi was the private oboe instructor at Friends School 1998-2002 and was the oboe instructor with the American Wind Symphony Winds on the MON for the school year of 1995-1996.
Originally from Littleton, Colorado, she hold degrees from the University of Kansas, Northwestern University, and from the Peabody Conservatory of Music.
Heidi has performed with numerous professional orchestras including Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Kenosha Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Civic Orchestra, American Wind symphony, Maryland Philharmonic Orchestra and Ohio Light Opera. She has recorded and toured Europe with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the American Wind Symphony. Additionally, she was Principal Oboist with the U.S. Naval Academy Band for eight years.
