Rachel Jones – Horn

Rachel Jones is an active freelancer in the Baltimore, Maryland region. She completed her military training at the US Army School of Music and is a member of the 229th Maryland Army National Guard Band, performing in concert band and brass quintet settings. She is a graduate of The Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University where she studied under Denise Tryon, former 4th Horn of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and MSG Shawn Hagen of the Pershings Own. Rachel has performed with many local schools in their pit ensembles while also furthering her orchestral experience playing with Occasional Symphony, Audition Mode, and as an alumni member of Hopkins Symphony Orchestra. She joined Maryland Winds as a substitute horn in November 2022, and gratefully became a core member in 2024.
