Tim Beall received his Master of Music degree from the American Band College of Sam Houston State University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from the University of Maryland College Park. He is currently the Band Director at Northfield Elementary School in Ellicott City, Maryland where he teaches/conducts two concert bands, jazz band, and percussion ensemble. He has also served as a high school band director in Howard and Queen Anne’s Counties in Maryland.
While at the University of Maryland, Tim was the principal percussionist of the University of Maryland Wind Ensemble and performed with the 5:30 Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble, and Marimba Ensemble. Tim was twice a finalist in the Homer Ulrich Solo Competition performing on marimba, and in 1994 was a member of the Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps.
Tim has guest conducted Honor Bands in Calvert and St. Mary’s Counties as well as serving as co-director of the Howard County Elementary Honors Band. He coaches percussion for Howard County GT Bands and serves as assistant manager/percussion coordinator for the Maryland All-State Senior Band. Tim has been a finalist for the Howard County Parents for School Music (HCPSM) Music Educator of the Year Award.
Tim lives in Crofton, Maryland with his wife Jennifer, daughter April, and their two cats Jenna and Loki.
