Jennifer Conklin is thrilled to be a member of the Maryland Winds. She is originally from Pittsburgh, PA. Jennifer holds a bachelors degree in both music performance and music education from West Virginia University and completed post graduate work in oboe performance at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
Jennifer has been an adjunct oboe professor at Frostburg State University and oboe instructor of the American Winds Youth Orchestra. She was a music educator in the Anne Arundel County School system where she taught K-8 general music and choral music. Jennifer then pursued an amazing opportunity at the Library of Congress as a Copyright Registration Specialist in the Performing Arts Division. She has also held a private oboe studio for many years.
Jennifer has played with the American Wind Symphony and is currently a freelance musician throughout the Annapolis/DC/Baltimore area. Jennifer is a book lover and yoga enthusiast. In addition to freelancing, she is now a proud stay at home mom and lives near Annapolis with her husband, two beautiful children and two dogs.
